Outside Out is "an experimental narrative slash mock infomercial" about a young guitar student, frustrated by his lack of progress in playing the instrument, who seeks help from Col. Bruce Hampton, Ret. (of Aquarium Rescue Unit fame). Hampton helps Rick unlearn the technical aspects of playing, and tries to teach him to play "out." Anyone familiar with Mike Gordon's book "Mike's Corner", will not be disappointed by a similar outpouring of bizarre, and at times, hilarious, images. Very unusual editing techniques, and sound and visual effects add to the experience. Highly recommended for fans of experimental film and Phish-heads.
