Between 1965-1973, over 50,000 Americans made their way to Canada, refusing to participate in the Vietnam War. Forty years later, Canada has another moral choice - whether to give refuge to U.S. veterans of the Iraq War. Caught between two countries, today’s war resisters fight the law, politics, and the court of public opinion for the opportunity to remain in Canada. / PEACE HAS NO BORDERS tells a complex story that weaves the resisters’ personal struggles against the backdrop of the political power of the conservative Canadian government. The film demonstrates how one decision of conscience can affect the course of the rest of your life.

The Vermont International Film Festival is a non-profit organization whose mission is to enrich the community and bring the world to Vermont through film.
Launched in 2014 by a group of filmmakers, archivists and concerned members of the public who wished to ensure the survival of artists’ films in Vermont, VAMP officially became a program of VTIFF in May 2015. The VAMP committee has broadened the initial concept to include all types of films and videos made by VT filmmakers or shot in Vermont.
