This short is a continuation of comedies by Jon Appleton and Matt Bucy featuring the character Boris Budsdarovia, an ex-patriot Russian composer living in Vermont as a short-order cook. In this episode, Boris disappears after a mysterious fire at his restaruant. Composer Jon Appleton, near completion on a biography about Boris, tracks him down in Russia where he discovers his story is more dramatic than he’d ever thought. It turns out Boris was the gay lover of a much-loved Russian folk-composer whom Boris thought to have been abducted and killed by Soviet agents. When Boris finds out this isn’t true, he returns to Russia where he finds his lover and they are reunited.
