With stunning cinematography, PRECIOUS GURU tells the little known history of Tibetan Buddhism, following the arc of Guru Rinpoche’s sacred biography and journey, from his immaculate birth on a lotus in northwest Pakistan; to his taming and subduing of Tibet’s demons in the 8th Century in order to establish Buddhism on the Tibetan plateau; to the central role of his Tibetan consort and main disciple, Princess Yeshe Tsogyal; and, finally, his departure for the Land of the Rakshas, where he continues to subdue and tame the demons.

The Vermont International Film Festival is a non-profit organization whose mission is to enrich the community and bring the world to Vermont through film.
Launched in 2014 by a group of filmmakers, archivists and concerned members of the public who wished to ensure the survival of artists’ films in Vermont, VAMP officially became a program of VTIFF in May 2015. The VAMP committee has broadened the initial concept to include all types of films and videos made by VT filmmakers or shot in Vermont.
