Take a journey back in time to the 19th century White Mountains of New Hampshire for an in-depth look at one of America’s earliest and most beloved artist’s movements. Emmy award-winning producer Andrea Melville’s newest documentary, “Brush and Pen: Artists and Writers of the White Mountains,” examines the famed White Mountain School as never before. Capturing nearly 100 years of artwork and prose, the film offers new insight into this era through interviews with White Mountain School scholars and original works from public and private collections.

The Vermont International Film Festival is a non-profit organization whose mission is to enrich the community and bring the world to Vermont through film.
Launched in 2014 by a group of filmmakers, archivists and concerned members of the public who wished to ensure the survival of artists’ films in Vermont, VAMP officially became a program of VTIFF in May 2015. The VAMP committee has broadened the initial concept to include all types of films and videos made by VT filmmakers or shot in Vermont.
