A coming-of-age portrait of three young aspiring race-car drivers following their initiation at Barre, Vermont's legendary quarter-miler, Thunder Road Speedway through their 2003 rookie season. This documentary film tells the story of three sons who dream of winning the Thunder Road Speedbowl, and three fathers who are there to coach their sons to victory. The history of Thunder Road also unfolds throughout the film. | Special features for the film include: interview with co-owner Tom Curley; Tracie Bellerose: an epic season; three-time king of the road Phil Scott; road warriors.

Launched in 2014 by a group of filmmakers, archivists and concerned members of the public who wished to ensure the survival of artists’ films in Vermont, VAMP officially became a program of VTIFF in May 2015.
