The purpose of the film is to give a better understanding of foster care: To potential foster parents and the general public at large. To give the general public more information about the need for foster care, the cost of foster care, the ultimate costs it may prevent; To describe the various needs of foster children and to give some examples of the kinds of care that is necessary to meet those needs. The importance of giving food, shelter, and clothing under an umbrella of concern, love, and understanding; To give information to special groups such as legislators about an important division of a public, social agency which gets little publicity and therefore receives a minimum of funds.

The Vermont International Film Festival is a non-profit organization whose mission is to enrich the community and bring the world to Vermont through film.
Launched in 2014 by a group of filmmakers, archivists and concerned members of the public who wished to ensure the survival of artists’ films in Vermont, VAMP officially became a program of VTIFF in May 2015. The VAMP committee has broadened the initial concept to include all types of films and videos made by VT filmmakers or shot in Vermont.
